Who we are
This website is run by CLRK Design Limited (“CLRK”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England, company number 16767601.
We’re the controller of the personal information described here. If you have any questions, email hello@clrk.agency.
What we collect
When you send us an enquiry through the form on our Start a project page, we collect:
your name and email address
your company or project name, if you give it
where your business is at and what you need, from the options you pick
anything you write in your message
When you email us or work with us, we keep our correspondence and the details we need to run your project and invoice you. Project updates and files are kept in our client hub.
When you visit the site, we use Framer’s built-in analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you. Like any website, our hosting provider also processes your IP address so it can deliver pages to your browser.
Why we use it
Replying to your enquiry and arranging a call. Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
Running your project, invoicing and keeping records. Performing our contract with you, and our legal obligations, such as keeping tax records.
Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it. Our legitimate interest in running a useful website.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for marketing unless you’ve asked us to.
Who we share it with
Only the services we use to run CLRK:
Framer (Framer B.V.), which hosts this website, receives form submissions and provides site analytics
Google Workspace, which we use for email
Our client hub runs on a computer that we own and manage ourselves. Information in it stays within CLRK and isn’t shared with anyone outside the company.
The site also loads animation code from a public code delivery network (esm.sh), which receives your IP address when a page loads, in the same way as any web host.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t become projects: 12 months from our last contact, then deleted.
Client records: six years after the project ends, because we have to keep financial records for HMRC.
Cookies and storage
We don’t use cookies. The site keeps a small note in your browser’s session storage so the opening animation only plays once per visit and page transitions run smoothly. It’s deleted when you close the tab.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
give you a copy of the information we hold about you
correct anything that’s wrong
delete your information
stop or limit how we use it, or object to it
send your information to you or another organisation in a usable format
Email hello@clrk.agency and we’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We’d appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first.

We’ll update this page if anything changes, and change the date at the top.
